screening

Screening for Neurodiversity
Typically the first step in the neurodiversity assessment process is to screen for the presence of neurodiverse traits. If you suspect that you or your child demonstrate neurodiverse traits, or if such suggestions have been made by the child's care or school team, then an initial introductory assessment & screening session is often advised prior to commencing a full scale assessment.

Our clinicians offer an initial screening session to identify whether neurodiversity traits may be present. These sessions involve a short clinical interview to understand more about the behaviours & experiences that have led to the query of neurodiversity & an understanding of any relevant medical & developmental history. Screening sessions also involve completing standardised questionnaires that are completed by the patient & / or the patients support system, for example parents or teachers.

If screening indicates that neurodiverse traits are present, a more comprehensive assessment may be recommended to support with further exploration &, if identified, a diagnosis.

Screening Session Fee: £150.00

Upon completion of the assessment process a report is compiled detailing the outcome of the assessment, including whether the patient meets the diagnostic criteria for ADHD. The report also documents recommended next steps & signposting information regarding sources of support, where relevant. This report can be discussed with the assessing clinician within an optional report review session.
