We recognise that people go through difficulties from time to time. Our emotions can be overwhelming & can cause much distress. We also understand that living with a physical health condition can be really hard. Our clinicians strive to offer knowledgeable warm, compassionate & empathic care within a safe & containing space to help you to explore & overcome any difficulties & move forward. Our aim is to help you to enhance & enrich your life, liberating you from the difficulties you face.
Our style of working is collaborative, which means we endeavour to work in partnership with clients, recognising & valuing the expertise, knowledge & strengths that each person brings with them to therapy. The sessions reflect a two-way learning conversation, where a discussion of personal life experiences is mixed in with a processing & reflective space as well as the development of coping skills & strategies.
Our clinicians are integrative therapists, which means they draw from a number of psychological models to inform therapy & counselling sessions. Core models include third-wave psychological therapies such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness & Compassionate Mind Training, Person-Centred Counselling, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), as well as Family Therapy & Community Psychology approaches. Community psychology is a branch of psychology that explores how the world around us impacts on our health & wellbeing. This enables us to think more widely about the contributing factors to the difficulties we can face & to think about the ways we can address these.
Prior to starting sessions we offer a complimentary brief screening assessment to discuss your needs and explore which service would best meet your needs. To book this please do get in touch.
