Womens Health Issues
We support with various women's health issues including the Menopause (& peri-menopause), Pre-Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), perinatal wellbeing issues, endometriosis & other physical health conditions affecting women. We also support with social, relational & identity-related issues around womanhood & motherhood.

Women's health issues can present many day to day challenges & negatively affect functioning at home, at work & in our relationships. For many of these issues there is no cure or fully effective treatment, therefore the focus of support is on learning to live well with the condition. This support often involves identifying, reducing or eliminating triggers for symptom flare-ups, building helpful self-management strategies, developing a flexible approach to activity, focusing on areas of control & connecting with values-based living. Treatment aims to enhance quality of life - ensuring that we are able to live a life that is fulfilling, meaningful & enjoyable, without the health issues getting in the way.
Psychological therapy & counselling provides:
-
An Emotional Processing Space - to process the emotional impact of living with health issues & to aid with acceptance, adjustment, adaptation & accommodation of symptoms
-
A Practical, Skills Building Space - to develop effective self-management skills for common symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, emotional dysregulation, palpitations, pain, fatigue & brain fog
-
An Understanding of Other Key Factors - to develop awareness of factors that may influence or complicate the experience of women's issues such as neurodiversity, relationships, the workplace, other health conditions
